  This is a comprehensive, ‘one-stop shop’ featuring curriculum, MoE social sciences publications and research, as well as a range of resources (launched September 2009).
  
  Note the position paper – ‘Understanding the social sciences as a learning area’ (Feb 2008) (in the ‘Curriculum’ section of the site).
  
  An important new feature on this site is the social inquiry interactive planner (see ‘Featured Content’ box on home page for click through).  This provides a useful starting place for planning using a social inquiry approach and is designed to be flexible in meeting the needs of teachers, students and school programmes – well worth a look, a great basis for team planning.
